The scheme involved the preparation of sketch designs and a feasibility study with subsequent detailed design work following RIBA Workstages A-L.

These proposals include 20,000ft2 of managed office accommodation in individual units of varying size, all fully self-contained with IT and high-speed broadband access.

Support facilities include meeting rooms, interview rooms and two conference rooms with full digital IT integration for presentation purposes.

The scheme is designed to enhance the local vernacular and provide a high-tech building with maximum frontage to the A142, whilst still being flexible enough to allow for future change to accommodate market forces.

The project involved the development 16 industrial units on a sloping site at Olympus close in Ipswich.

Each unit has a small office, tea point and a disabled toilet. There are three parking spaces per unit, including disabled.

Every unit also has a 3m x 3m sliding fold up and over door with personal access through a separate entrance. The units have a facing brickwork plinth with composite metal cladding above.

This 35,000ft2 development by concept Architects Faulkner Brown comprises open plan office space and meeting rooms over three storeys with a full height atrium and extensive landscaped grounds.

The scheme has been designed in consideration of environmental issues with features including attenuation ponds, swales and solar shading all contributing towards the developments 'Excellent' BREEAM rating.

Chaplin Farrant were employed as construction and design coordination architects for contractor ISG Jackson under a design and build contract.
